Wikipedia: Art + Feminism

Take part in Wikipedia Art + Feminism 2017. It’s an international “rhizomatic campaign to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia, and to encourage female editorship.” The big event is scheduled for Saturday, March 11th, 2017, when the Cornell “node” of Wikipedia Art + Feminism will be held in several locations on the Ithaca campus, including the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Olin Library, and the Fine Arts Library, for in-person, communal updating of Wikipedia’s entries on art and feminism. Get ready ahead of time by attending this Wikipedia workshop on Feb. 22.

During this workshop, we’ll begin with a short introduction to how Wikipedia works and why getting involved in this project matters. Next, we’ll walk through getting an account and an overview of the basics of editing for new and beginning editors. The introduction will be followed by a hands-on editing session. Learn more & register on the Wikipedia program page for Cornell’s Art + Feminism event! Also check out the Facebook Event page.

Please register in advance for this workshop so we know how many people to expect.
