Fake News, Alternative Facts, and Misinformation Part 2: Understanding the Cost of Fake News

Learn how to get out of the echo chamber. (And, no, we’re not talking about the tunnel under Plant Sciences). The reach of misinformation through a like, share, or retweet can escalate the spread of fake news. Learn how to not spread fake news by first understanding how to spot fake news.  In this workshop, attendees will build upon their knowledge of how to critically evaluate the information that surrounds us. Join us for an hour of discussion and a fun group activity to become more informed citizens of the world and learn about the cost of fake news.
