Literature Review Searching: Structuring your literature review search to improve results and reduce bias
Ready to start forming a research strategy for the research component of your master's thesis or doctoral dissertation? Or considering a review for your undergraduate thesis this year? Join research librarians from Mann for this one hour training on forming a plan and carrying out a structured literature review in the Life Sciences. We will show you how to utilize best practices from systematic reviews and evidence syntheses to improve your results, increase transparency and reproducibility, and decrease bias in your findings.
This workshop is a good strategic complement to Power Searching workshop (10/6), which will explain details of advanced database searching. If you are just interested in learning about evidence synthesis protocols and systematic reviews specifically, please consider the "Nuts & Bolts of Systematic Reviews" workshop on 10/23 instead.
Recommended for advanced undergraduates and early graduate students.
