*Workshop will be virtual*

Are you new to the command-line interface or looking for a refresher? Join us for an introduction to essential command-line tasks using a Unix-style terminal shell. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain what a command-line interface is and when it is useful

  • Navigate directories and create files and folders from the command line

  • Use basic text editors to view and edit files

  • Move, rename, and delete files and directories

  • Use simple command-line tools such as pipes and grep to search and work with text
