Take part in Wikipedia Art + Feminism 2018. It’s an international "campaign to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia, and to encourage female editorship.” The big edit-a-thon is scheduled for Saturday, March 10th, 2018, when the Cornell “node” of Wikipedia Art + Feminism will be held on the Ithaca campus at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art and at Olin Library for in-person, communal updating of Wikipedia’s entries on art and feminism. Get ready ahead of time by attending this Wikipedia workshop on March 6.
During this workshop, we’ll begin with a short introduction to how Wikipedia works and why getting involved in this project matters. Next, we’ll walk through getting an account and an overview of the basics of editing for new and beginning editors. The introduction will be followed by a hands-on editing session.
Please bring a laptop to this event.
Please register in advance for this workshop so we know how many people to expect.
