Mastering Illustrator's Pen Tool in Two Weeks

In this course we will start from scratch with the Illustrator pen tool by tackling the complexities of the Illustrator workspace, learning pen tool basics (such as anchor points and bezels), and tracing a photograph to create a full-color illustration. The class consists of four sections spread out over two weeks. The first day introduces students to the Illustrator workspace and pen tool, the second builds on these lessons through creating some basic vector illustrations, the third introduces the main project, and the fourth consists of finishing the project and critiquing as a class.

Download Adobe Illustrator before coming to the class. It can be found for free for staff and faculty here: https://it.cornell.edu/software-licensing/adobe-licensing-summary. Students can temporarily download it for free as well.
